Smith Rock Maternity Session for the Schultz Family

This was one of my first maternity sessions ever. At the time I wasn’t sure if I wanted to offer maternity portraits, and after, I did a total 180 and decided to make them a primary part of my business! It was just so much fun! Hollie and her husband were so sweet and their love for one another and their baby really came through in the session.

I was lucky enough to meet and photograph their new baby about a year later. It’s always such a treat to get to meet the babies on the outside!

Smith Rock is a stunning location for any type of portrait session, but I thought it was a particularly perfect spot for this one. Hollie’s dress seemed to be made just for the lighting that day. It was windy and cold that day, but the clouds diffused the light perfectly. I definitely recommend this location if you’re looking into a maternity session!

Mmmkay, how cute are they? I almost died taking this shot- I was screaming “YOU GUYS IT’S TOO GOOD”.

Whenever in doubt, bring a hat. It gives you a different look, and helps if there’s rain or wind!
